Printing
Options
You can
easily print pages from this site in order to use it for personal
information purposes by using the print feature from your browser.
Setting
Margins
If the right
side of the web page is cut off when you try to print, first try to
adjust the margins of the page to .25". Changing the top,
bottom, left and right margins to .25 inches allows the page to print
for many printers. You can change the margins by clicking on
File > Page Setup. On the page setup screen you should see
the four fields (top, bottom, left, right) where you can enter your
print margins. (If you do not see this, your printer/browser
does not support this option.) Enter .25 for all four fields
and click OK. Then print the page as normal.
Landscape
orientation
If you've
set the margins to .25" and you still have the right side of
the page cut off when you print, you can set your printer to print
in landscape orientation. To do this, click on File >
Page Setup. On the page setup screen you should see the orientation
options, Portrait and Landscape. Select "Landscape"
and click OK, then print as you normally would.
Printing
Background Color and Images
If some
images are not printed and you wish to print them, be sure that you
have checked the Print background color and images option on your
browser. If you use Internet Explorer, you must go to Tools
> Internet Options > Advanced > Printing > and check "Print
background color and images". If you use Netscape,
you can find this option in the print window.
To
print the text portion only:
-
Click
and *drag your mouse from the beginning to the end of the text
you'd like to select (*drag = continue holding the left mouse
button down until you reach the end of your selection);
-
Go to
File > Print in your browser's toolbar
-
The
printer dialog will open. Select the "print selected
text" (or similar wording) and click Print.
If your
printer doesn't allow printing of selected text, use this method:
-
Click
and *drag your mouse from the beginning to the end of the text
you'd like to select (*drag = continue holding the left mouse
button down until you reach the end of your selection);
-
Go to
Edit > Copy in your browser's toolbar
-
Now
open your word processing software and Paste the information into
a blank document. You can now print that document using your software.
